Final Project - Mackenzie Wade

I capture photographs to bring out the qualities in people that others often overlook or do not recognize. I reveal these qualities by the use of lights and shadows. I tried to find the light in unique settings that others might find dark and dreary, lacking the glow that is found through my photography.

I have always believed that your eyes are the windows to your soul. That is why in these pieces I have focused on the faces and eyes; to capture the intensity and feelings that people bring to these mysterious places. My pieces show that even though light can't be found in certain places that it can be found and captured.

The Path That Takes You There
Life takes you down trails, paths, roads and makes
you cross bridges in order to reach you appointed destination.
I wanted to photograph all of the travels that people take
everyday to extract the beauty in the journey. I think that emphasizing
the beauty in the twists, bumps and turns you take will make the
destination even more breathtaking.
